There are 30 teams in NBA, 15 in the eastern conference and 15 in the western conference. Each team has its own distinctive logos representing its city. I admire every logo for the teams and their strategy to brand, but my favorite logo is Chicago Bulls. The logo is strong and memorable in the simplest way. It has type "Chicago Bulls" in the middle of Bull's horns which balances nicely with the image. And surprisingly it is the only logo that has not been revised at all since it has been made.
I think it is a great inspiration for designers to see how each team brand their organization.
This is some examples how Chicago Bulls expanded its brand.

ReplyDeleteThis article explores a cool niche of the design industry that has a big impact on visual culture. I really enjoy the visual that shows logo development of each team identity over time. It seems that you are focusing on the Chicago Bulls logo as a good example; you could include a close-up image of this logo and talk about the design aspects that make it memorable and effective. For example, the visual symmetry, line quality, and color combination makes it very classic. I would like to hear more of your thoughts on why it inspires you as a logo designer.
In terms of writing tips, I would brainstorm a more interesting headline. Basketball has a lot of great terminology you could work with: “slam dunk”, “score”, etc.
Be sure to proofread your writing, as MS word only catches spelling errors and misses a lot of grammatical errors such as missing commas or incorrectly placed words. Here are some edits:
-“Now(,) looking at (the) NBA with different eyes gives me good inspiration and motivation as a designer.”
-“There are 30 teams in (the) NBA”
-“I (admire the logo and branding strategy for each team), but my favorite (is the) Chicago Bulls (logo).”
- “It (features) "Chicago Bulls" (typeset) in the middle of (the) Bull's horns(,) which balances nicely with the image.”
-“I think it is a great inspiration for designers to see how each team brand(s) their organization. (These are some) examples (of) how (the) Chicago Bulls expanded (their) brand.”
I think you could also write a bit more on how the Bulls have expanded their brand onto sports equipment, environmental graphics, and promotional materials. Good development of sports graphics is critical, because the branding has to live in a huge variety of places.
